Office for Competition and Consumers Protection

Each of 9 regional Branch Offices being part of the Office of Competition and Consumer Protection performs its tasks on behalf of the President of the OCCP within its region. It monitors the observance of the provisions of the Act on competition and consumer protection by undertakings, imposes financial penalties provided by law, examines the state of the economy’s competitiveness and market behaviours of undertakings, conducts explanatory proceedings, antitrust proceedings and proceedings concerning practices which infringe consumer collective interests. Branch Offices undertake actions which result from the provisions of the Act on fighting unfair competition and abusive clauses.
