International Competition Network was established in October 2001 in New York during an annual conference on competition organised by the Fordham Corporate Law Institute. It associates national and international institutions and bodies dealing with competition, striving for creating and enforcing law in this field.
In November 2001 the Office of Competition and Consumer Protection became a member of the ICN. The OCCP participates in the works of the Capacity Building and Competition Policy Implementation Working Group (CBCPI).
