Energetyczne Centrum filed for bankruptcy
  • Energetyczne Centrum filed for bankruptcy and is no longer selling electricity and gas.
  • Consumer – if you have been paying this company for electricity or gas since the middle of September to date, you can get your money back.
  • File a claim with the court by January 16th, 2019. If you do not know how to do that, write to Stowarzyszenie Aquila (Aquila Society).

Energetyczne Centrum was an alternative seller of electricity. It ceased selling electricity on September 11th, with gas following a day later. On December 3rd, the court declared the company bankrupt.  Signals received by the Energy Regulatory Office indicate that many people were unaware that a substitute seller has been issuing invoices to them from the moment when Energetyczne Centrum stopped selling electricity and gas. In many cases, consumers were still able to pay Energetyczne Centrum, despite the fact that the company did not provide services.

Read about what you can do:

  1. if by December 2nd you have paid for electricity or gas for a period during which the company no longer sold electricity or gas (i.e. for a period from September 11th for electricity and from September 12th for gas), you can get your money back. You must report the amount of invoices paid to the court.

Fill out two copies of the claim declaration form. Send them to the District Court for the Capital City of Warsaw, the 10th Commercial Division for bankruptcy and restructuring affairs, ul. Czerniakowska 100 A, 00-454 Warsaw, Bankruptcy Judge (District Court Judge) Kamila Wasilewska. Specify the case reference number, i.e.: X GUp 1078/18. You have time until January 16th.
